In the beginning of 2002, a new airline was founded in Switzerland and was named „air Switzerland“. However, because of numerous arising problems, this airline never left the ground, and at the end of the year 2002, it had to file for bankruptcy. It was for this reason that I, as a long standing virtual Pilot with a background in Aviatics, decided to let the „air Switzerland“ fly in the skies as a virtual airline. My prime motivation is to be able to combine reality and fantasy into one package. This is how air Switzerland virtual airline was born! There is of course a CEO in this group, but the pilots also can express their ideas and opinions up to a certain level. For instance, why not fly to a destination that has not been flown by anyone else before? Or be able to immediately fly your favourite aircraft without having to first collect flight hours with ATR72? Our Motto: Yes, we can do it!
